Switch between app and GUI


How do I switch from a fullscreen app back to my GUI (gnome)? ctrl+alt+enter switches the app into windowed mode, but do not give focus to the GUI.

generally, any 3d app, usually games such as America's Army or bzflag - Or games running under Cedega.

i would say keep a terminal window open and hit Alt+Tab
