Swap file
 

Hello,

can I use one partition as a swap file/partition for several installations of linux or does each installation need its own one?
If so what size should it be (using 64bit editions with 4gb of ram)?

Have just built a new machine & want to load 5 or more different versions on the same hd (Ubuntu, SuSE, UUE, Mandriva, DSL & others)

1. yes, you can have 1 swap partition for all
