Let me explain you step by step:

1. You installed Subversion..OK
2. mkdir -p /svn/repos
#pwd
/svn/repos
#svnadmin create innovatebox

3. This creates the repository by name innovatebox
4. Now, Go to innovatebox directory through:

#cd /svn/repos/innovatebox
#cd conf

YOU WILL SEE 3 MAJOR FILES:

#ls
passwd authz svnserve.conf

#vi svnserve.conf

DO TAKE CARE OF SPACES. THERE SHOULD BE NO LINE WITH ANY SPACE
anon-access = none
auth-access = write
password-db = passwd
authz-db = authz

Now Edit passwd file:

AGAIN NO NEW SPACE OR ANY LINE LEFT BLANK

ravi=ravi123

Edit authz

[/]
ravi = rw

Now Start the Subversion service through:

svnserve -d

Done.

For Testing,
BE SURE YOU HAVE TORTOISE SVN INSTALLED ON YOUR WINDOWS MACHINE.

On Windows >> Start >> Run >> svn://<ip>/svn/repos/innovatebox

And it shud work !!!

hi man
when i tried it in netbeans 6.7.1 the netbeans hangs and will not go further movement. some times the Netbeans will restart the program itself.
is it is due to the netbeans version?
can u give me the link for the stable netbeans version
