Suspend / Hibernate errors upon boot up in Ubuntu 9.04...?
I installed Ubuntu 9.04 not too long ago on my laptop and things seem to be working fine except when I Suspend or Hibernate my session I get some weird lettering on the black boot-up screen and I'm not sure what it is...
Three lines: [16457.412126] btusb_intr_complete: hci0 urb f4551e00 failed to resubmit (1) [16457.413128] btusb_bulk_complete: hci0 urb f4551800 failed to resubmit (2) [16457.413135] btusb_bulk_complete: hci0 urb f4551b00 failed to resubmit (1) They don't stay up on the black screen too long but every time some numbers change. In the beginning it will vary [xxxxx.xxxxxx] and after urb fxxxxxxx failed to resubmit. I'm not sure if this is a problem or not but from the "btusb" part it sounds like maybe something with my bluetooth hardware? I'm not currently making use of it but idk. |
Yeah, these are errors that happen as the laptop is suspended, has to do with the USB subsystems, e.g.: bluetooth, webcam, usb ports, mic, and so on. Are you experiencing any lack of function after waking up the computer?

I don't believe so, no. Sometimes a flash drive does not want to unmount but I usually get it to eventually. I was guessing it was blue tooth from "btusb" but I tried syncing up my phone and they connect fine. Never tried any photo or music transfers though. Just kind of annoying it flashes on there ya know?

Hi CT
which are you doing, Hibernating or Suspending? My IBM t40 will not hibernate correctly under Ubuntu. I had to change the hibernate to suspend setting to get it to work correctly. this is under Settings/Powermanagement. change "when the lid is closed" option to suspend and try it again. Also do this on all the tabs. Does your laptop actually have blue tooth installed, and are you using it. you could try turning it off and then suspending to see if it is the offending app. let us know what happens Vanessa |
