Suse9.3_64 and WindowsXP_64

I have a dual boot with SUSE9.3 (default, of course) and WindowsXP . I'd like to upgrade WindowsXP to WindowsXP_64, but I'm afraid that the installation process can remove or alter, in some way, the linux boot loader. Is it possible? If so, how can I solve the problem ? thanx in advance.

Maybe this can help you out

If you are just trying to upgrade WinXP to win XP 64 it should not modify the Grub loader in any way, or at least it never happend to me and I tried it twice. Howerever, if you going to reformeted the parition that the winXP was sitting on and then install a clean copy of win XP 64 that can modify the MBR and can cause problems if so, just re ran the suse 9.3 installation disk and just re-install the grub, that should take care of the problem.
