SuSE9.0 keyboard mapping
 

I just installed and Yast-keyboard is set as 'english-us'. But I think I am getting German keyboard showing many funny characters. How do I fix this? Thanks.

I'm just poking in the dark here, but have you tried going into "Control Center" and going to the "Regional & Accessibility" tab and taking a look at both the "Country/Region & Language" and the "Keyboard Layout"? I don't know why those might have gotten messed up when you installed as "english-us", but it might be worth looking at as a starting point.
