Hi,
I'm living and working in Taiwan and I have just installed a D-Link DFE530 TX-PCI Ethernet card because I use ADSL, ( cable was toooo slow ) for the internet, now it was very easy under Win 'the killer' doze but under Linux it just says that I have no Ethernet card, I had another Ethernet card before this which linux found with no problems, but using this D-Link no chance, the other was from the cable company and they have took it back, that is why I don't use that one. I use SuSE 7, it is the only piece of hardware that has not been detected. Any answers, and please can you make the instruction in plain English, I am a NEWBIE, which means I find it hard to spell LINUS TORVALDS:-) Thanks |
Right... The best you can do is search the forums for mention of D-Link cards or RTL cards - there has been quite a lot of discussion about installing them recently. Then have a go and post your specific problem back here.
Sorry not to be more specific but its already been covered by lots of people in far better detail than I could manage her! Cheers Jamie... |
