Suse screensaver has mind of its own!!

Im testing out GNome on suse linux 10.1 and my screensaver keeps poping up even while im using the computer.

I went into gnome configuration pannel and set length to about 40min. but its still happening.

Any thoughts?

Check /etc/X11/xorg.conf

SuSE might have done the changes there concerning that screensaver.

Hi

Try downloading the current Xscreensaver, and totally disabling the packaged one that came with gnome. This worked fine for me with KDE in FC3 - Xscreensaver pays heed to the delays I set, and its OpenGL screensavers work fine, unlike the "package" screensaver that came with my KDE version.
