SuSe new install


I just installed SuSe 9.0 not but 15 minutes ago after having Slack (don't worry it's coming back). Anyway i wanted to know what are the important config files that i need to know about for SuSe.

Depends on the problems you are trying to solve. But running suse without using yast2 to set things is somewhat pointless.

i believe the config files are basically the same for suse as they are for slack...

The config files are almost the same, except the runlevel settings. You have a separate directory for every runlevel. You can configure everything from yast2 if you want to...but I like to do it manually , like in Slackware. For me, it works better this way.
