Hi, i have a question. Wondering if SUse 8.2 partitions the new hard drive furing installtion or do i need to manually partition the HD. If i have to do it manually, what program should i use?

It should have a disk partitioning utility built in its installer. You have the choice of letting it make automatic partitions or to manually make partitions.

SuSE has a disk partitioning utility as part of the install program. Use the SuSE partitioning program to do your manual partitioning.
I have never tried the SuSE automatic partitioning option, if it has one. I have always partitioned manually.

The screenshot that you show means that the partitioning program cannot save information about the old partition scheme. Either you are using a blank hard disk or your partition table is broken.
