Suse live dvd - Can only see console+command lines


I have suse 9.3 pro live dvd. Boots fine and everyhting.

In console mode it ask for a login. I login. Thats it. Command line says have a lot of fun

I do not have a desktop to view. I only can use command lines. I have no grapichal interface. Withc I understand I should have. You know like a windows desktop

What am i doing wrong or not doing

I'm no expert or anything, on the contrary, I'm a complete newbie but....I once had a similar problem. When you log in there should be some button or menu somewhere that says something like "session" and you can choose whether you want to use KDE, Gnome, or whatever else you have installed. Again, I have no clue what I'm talking about, so you may want to wait for a more expert opinion. My problem ocurred because I installed Fedora with KDE and not Gnome and Fedora is set by default to boot in Gnome. Since there was no gnome, it booted in the console mode as a plan B (I think). Bleh, don't listen to me...

No you absolutely right. According to the instructions you should have these two options after you log on. But I do not have these options
