SUSE Linux v9 - require password

In Solaris, I can enforce password by added "PASSREQ=YES" to /etc/default/login file. Is there comparable feature in SUSE (enterprise v9)? Thanks much!

The only method I ever use is the terminal command: "passwd username" Look at man passwd for various options, including locking the account or deleting the password and thus allowing login with no password.

Thank you for your quick response. I'm looking for of a system-wide policy rather than enforcement on certain individual accounts. Ideally if it is feasible, then an account cannot login without a password.
