Unhappy SuSe Linux Professional 8.2 installation


I'm a newbie.. At this moment using Windows XP Professional..., few days ago downloaded 5 CD's of Suse Linux Professional 8.2, and now cant install it.. coz installation is absolutely not like in windows... just cant run it.. Please somebody help me with that... Step by step if it possible...

The explanation is too long

The explanation that you are asking for is way too long to post here. SuSE comes with 400 to 600 pages of manuals. The first time you ever install Linux it is well worth the money to buy a packaged distribution just for the manuals.

I advice you to read the docs on their webpage, I'm pretty sure they have a quick reference starters installation guide.

It should be like:
stick the first cd in and it will boot in to the installation menu (just like windows! :-) )
follow instructions....

If you're going to double make make sure to make some free space for Suse. and install a boot loader (grub or lilo) all options of which I'm quite sure that they'll fly by in the installation menu.
Also make a list of all your hardware plus specs, they'll come in handy
