SuSe Linux, custimize?


Hello, in Suse Linux, as root, i see everything i have installed (ie:Licq) and other programs, but as a normal user i see none of those, but alot of Suse crap, and the buttons at the bottom bar have Suse logos, and as root its KDE, how do i have all the root stuff, but not running as root? (not privalges)
If this dosnt make sense ill try to clear it up

Please note, this is just a guess, I too am using suse 8.2 and I am just getting past the learning curve of basic configuration - however, try going to:
Control Center
Appearance and Themes
Menu Settings

There you can adjust what is show on the menu.

In the KDE desktop, mine is set for "Suse Menu" - contains all application from the distrobution - sorted by subgroups.

this didnt fix what i was looking for, but it did fix something i was trying to do thanks for the help
