SuSE 9 K3b CD-R makes coasters

The K3b CD-R program, despite the fact that when I open it, it gives me the option of starting a multisession disk, after the first burn session, when I resinstall the disk, it can no longer be burned to; only read. Reminds me of early Adaptec/Roxio Easy CD Creator problems. Can anyone explain how to fix this?
Thank you.
Karl

sounds like you closed the cd after burning it! there should be a checkbox somewhere in k3b to not close the cd!

Well, if there is, I cannot see it, and I have gone thru this 3 times very carefully and looked at all the options. It says it has unmounted it and ejects it at the end, but it never fails to be unwriteable after that. Interestingly, SuSE says nothing about this is their book. I remember having this with early Easy CD Creator, but I don't see anything here to check or uncheck! Karl

On k3b 0.8.1 once you have selected everything to burn and click the burn button it will bring up the burn dialog. Go to the "settings" tab and at the bottom there is option for multi-session cd's. Hope this helps.

Well, there is "start multisession CD", "Continue Multisession CD" etc., near top under settings, and I have used "Start multisession CD", but I have never been able to continue . . . Karl

Maybe just try continue multisession, reinstall, or gnome toaster
