Suse 9.3 Dual boot

I was installing suse 9.3 5disc version (a winxp installation was already done)
and when i rebooted (suse did not ask for disc 2 only after reboot -> installation) it gives an mbr error 18 problem.
I have tried to do a full install of suse but it still gives the mbr error and refuses to boot
A boot from the installation allowed me to enter BUT internet connection is not avaliable (the system was able to update... whilst installation) and I was unable to detect my mouse(tried 3 diff mice.. 2x usb 1x ps2)

Could anyone help me on this problem or how can i resolve the dual booting issue. Would be a great help..

PIII 700
CUSL-2 Motherboard(bios updated)
160gig Seagate (C: winxp : ||| 20gig free space for suse)

Is it coming up into a GUI display after boot?

If so, try holding down the following keys together Ctrl and Alt, then press F1 while holding Ctrl and Alt down.

This should switch you from the GUI *terminal* to a standard ASCII TTY.

Login as root (or other userid) and then get the file info.

You could also attempt to restart your system by pressing Ctrl-Alt-Del, and then interrupt the boot process, and add "s" to the boot line to take it to single user mode.

Then you can log in and get the info there too.

HTH,

Nawar
