suse 9.1automatically logs in user mode(why??)
 
i have just installed suse 9.1..my problem is that when i start linux it logs in automatically in user..so everytime i have to log out session and then to enter as a root..why??i want everytime that i start linux to ask me(with a username and password)so i'll be able to choose to login as a root or as a user..
how i can change that ?

its an installation specification,
when u install it , u said that only u use this computer, or something like that

As this is in the newbie fourm im assuming you are.. like me. When i first started using linux it bothered me that i didnt have total access as the default user (why i switched from windows in the first place) but after awhile it make more sense. if you need root access type su in a console. also under menu>system>file manager there is a konq browser for use as super user (root). with that said:
open YaST then go to the misc tab. this will launch a yast2. click on the drop down menu that says expert options then select. login settings. I let you figure it out from there. Although i dont think it will let you auto login as root. Im sure there is a way around that.?.
