Suse 9.1 Pro Re-Install Question

Because of the problem I'm having here:

(I can't post a URL, but it's "SuSE 9.1 Pro, Yast shows no packages installed!" in Linux - Distributions, threadid 231968)

I'm considering a reinstall. Currently I have two drives in my machine, a 13gb and a 20gb. The 13gb is swap (1 gb) and / (12gb). The 20 is /home.

Is there a way to reinstall without losing the info on the 20gb drive? If I have a dir on that drive of /home/foo, and in the new install I create user foo, will all the files be lost/overwritten? Does this question even make sense?

Yes. You can install to the other 12MB drive

Beware as the SuSE installer will reformat you harddrive if specified. Just back it up and start over or choose repair when reinstalling.
