Suse 9.0 - FAT32 no show up

Hi,

I installed suse 9.0 on my pIII 500, with 2 HD.
HD1 was NTFS, i reduced and installed suse on empty space
HD2 was divided in 2 partition FAT32.

Now in suse I can only see 1 of the 2 fat32 partitions and not the other.

No clue, should be the same no???

Judging by your fstab, you are only showing the NTFS & 1 FAT32.
Your /dev/hda1 is NTFS
Your /dev/hdb5 is FAT32 #1
You have no FAT32 #2

You said:
Quote:
HD2 was divided in 2 partition FAT32.
If this is true, and you want to see it, I think you need it in your fstab as /dev/hdbx. (where x is the partition #)

Also, If your second HD has only 2 partitions, both of FAT32, just curious why one of 'em is hdb5?

Run fidsk /dev/hdb
then press P to "print" / "list" the partition tables.
Find out what the exact #s are for your 2 partitions on hdb.
If one of 'em is 5, then the other (assuming there are only 2) should be the second partition.
Then you might try:
/dev/hdb# /windows/E vfat users,gid=users,umask=0002,iocharset=iso8859-1,code=437 0 0
in your fstab. And assuming that you want the second partitions (vfat) to be E and not something else.

this is how hdb is currently partitioned:
dev/hdb 55.9 GB maxtor 6l06 0 7298
dev/hdb1 28 GB Win95 FAT32 LBA 3456 7121
dev/hdb3 25.7 GB Extended 96 3455
dev/hdb5 25.7 GB Win95 Fat32 LBA Windows/D 96 3455

The two partitions on your second drive are:
dev/hdb1 28 GB Win95 FAT32 LBA 3456 7121
dev/hdb5 25.7 GB Win95 Fat32 LBA Windows/D 96 3455

fstab only shows hdb5 being mounted. Add a similar fstab for hdb1 like hdb5. Be sure to create a mount point.
