Suse 8.2 locks up

Hi!

I have a problem with a Suse 8.2 machine.
The machine runs Squid and ntop and are used for setting accessrules and acting as a internet proxy.

The problem is that the server locked up and after reboot it run for a while it locked again.
For each reboot the running time got shorter and now i can't even log in.

It seems to startup allright, but when i try to login nothing happends, no response to the keyboard.

Someone told me that it could be that the filesystem is to big due to the cache directory, could it be so?

How can i correct this when i can't login?
I can't boot from CD, the server will not do that and i have Bios set up as it should be.
I tried to find a bootdisk made for Suse, but i can't find any. It must handle Adaptec scsicard.

Greatful for any help!

(please excuse my english, it's not my native language)
