SuSE 8.2
after you install suse 8.2 can you boot it from windows?
|
You mean boot windows then run suse on top? No - you will need vmware.
If you mean use the windows bootloader then it depends on your version of windows. Personnaly I would use grub to boot both. |
When you install SuSE the install program, YaST, will install a bootloader. You tell YaST what OSs you have installed and what partitions they are located on and YaST will set up the bootloader accordingly.
After the install when you boot, the bootloader will give you a choice of which OS to run. |
ok so how do i do that?
|
Just install SuSE 8.2 it will dualboot automatically with your windows ;-)

You seem to have a lot of inter-related questions all right here. If your questions are all pretty much the same thing, just re-worded you are going to not only confuse those trying to help you, but become confused yourself. It's usually a good idea to just have 1 thread with the info in it, and let everyone reply to that thread.
In that single thread you should include as much information as possible, these 1 line questions are mis-leading (likely) and your over-all desire is probably getting un-answered. Tell us exactly what you want to do and we can relay much more consise and clear instructions. Cool |
