SuSE 8.1 + VisionTek GeForce4 MX420

I have the kernel and GLX files that I downloaded from Nvidia's website on the comp, but have no idea how to install the drivers. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Did you search the forum? I just posted these instructions in a post earlier this evening.

http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...threadid=32251

The instructions are for RedHat, but should work similarly with SuSe.

You can also look at the README file from nvidia.

Jeremiah, I still can't get 3D acceleration with my card. I must be doing something wrong. I'm totally lost. I know nothing about Linux (obviously), so a little more help would be great.

Click on the link that I provided to the other post and begin reading that post. The instructions were printed in a Step 1, Step 2, Step ... format so that newbies could figure it out (or at least I thought). If you need help with those steps, then post your requests as replies to that post.

Down at the bottom of the other page, you should find a link that says "Subscribe to this thread", click on that so that you can follow what is going on with it.
