SUSE 8.1 installing 3rd party software

I downloaded a .bin do I install this???

Search around the forums it's such a basic and requently asked question...

The easiest way is to click on the executable eg. Open Office

Or run it from a bash prompt by doing this
cd /directory/of/bin/file
It will then execute...
