SuSE 8.1 install problems
 

hello, I'm new to linux and was hoping for some help on a problem installing linux.

I'm trying to install SuSE 8.1 personal and when i boot up my computer with the CD in it goes to the setup screen just fine, but when it tries to load the kernel, it give me an error, in the uper-left hand corner theres a message that says:

"ISOLinux: Disk error 10, drive 9F"

i was wondering if

A) i should make an ISO of the CD and burn it off

B) and if so whats a good free ISO making program

C) if its not A then what should i do?

i hope this isn't somewhere else, and any help give is much appreciated

Burn the download as an iso image. Try this:
