Question suse 8.0 pro no go


I have suse 8.0 pro and have a duron 650mhz on a asus a7v 20 gig and for the life of me I cant get it to install I boot from the dvd or cd and the same result
The computer hangs after I select the type of instalation no matter what type of installation any tips would be appreciatted the computer is running 512 ram and clocked to 900 even when running standard speed the result is the same

Maybe just the boot cd is damaged?

I have 3, 1 is the original dvd and the 2nd being the first and 2nd disc of 7 cds but ill try to use a floppy jic

sucess this morning instead of clicking the option for how i wanted it to install I let it do it itself with out any intervention from me although the only intervention was 1 left click to select instalation and that was all my next trick will be to setup a adsl acc in form of a PCI card (road runner adsl pci ) and so far linux wont open up the windows directory
