Suse 10 Resolution problem.

Perhaps im just ignorant, and this has probably been posted before (Though I did not find a thread after searching.), but I run SUSE 10 on my Winbook C200 with a Intel 855GM Video Card. Installation of the OS says that the card was successfully installed an I select the card to run at 1024x768, however when I boot into Suse it can only go up to 800x600.

Anyone ever had this problem before?

yes i had the same problem but wasn't with SuSE, my screen and graphics card works best at 1280x1024, but it would only let me go to 1024x786 or somthing, what I had to do, in KDE 3.2, go into Configure your computer then go to Hardware then go into Congiure your monitor. Make sure you choose the type of monitor you have, for instance, i had only selected: Float Panel 1280x768, so the max resloution i could go to was that, but once i selected Flat Panel 1280x1024 i was able to get into that resolution. Once you change that option then u can go into ur config resolution and it should be able to change it now. If not, restart X after you've made that change and check again.
