Unhappy SUSE 10.3 NVIDIA problem

Hi,

I'm a little stuck, it would seam that i missed something when i installed the Nvidia driver support for SUSE 10.3. I am trying to get SUSE10.3 to recognize my 9600GT, at the moment its using a generic driver and the 3D acceleration is turned off!

In order to do this i updated SUSE 10.3 online, all went well, I then went to the Nvidia website and followed the instructions to add them as a resource in yast and installed the x11 rpm. I clicked on the link in the webpage and yet again everything went fine, it download and installed those packages without a problem.

But i still dont have the ability to change the graphics card or enable 3d acceleration, and to be honest I'm not to sure where i can do this other than sax2. Any advice??

Thanks

You can try yast2>hardware > monitor and graphic card
But mostly if the install is oke the 3 D is on by default

all the best

Then i have a problem, before i get to the settings it tells me that the úD acceleration is off and it still only has the generic driver. I need to change this so i'm going to try going through the entire process again. See if i missed anything.

Thanks though.
