An obvious question:
Did you change the boot-sequence in the BIOS?

my guess as well...

I burned the iso's to CD-RW at first so i would not waste CD's if I didn't like what I saw but they just didn't want to work very well.. lots of errors so i just bit the bullet and burned them to CD-R and didn't have any problems with the install..

If you have a knoppix or some other bootable CD, see if it boots... if it does, then my guess is you have some bad CD's.. (CD1 for sure is bad because it SHOULD boot)

Assuming they are bad, your options depend on where/how you got them...

If you burned them yourself, you can try burning CD1 again..
If you ordered them, contact the sit e and see if you can exchange them..

Good Luck..

You Have tried to check your iso-image with MD5 ?
Which version of 10.0 you use ?
I've downloaded beta1 and beta4 they are booting but the following disks had a wrong MD5. Look also at my question suse 9.0 upgrate to 10.0 and grub
