SUSE 10.0 - Graphics driver issue
Hi guys,
I'm running SUSE 10.0 on an Acer 5612Z notebook with Intel 945 chipset. Its all good except that I cant get resolution 1280x800. My colleagues advised me that the reason is the VESA driver that the OS is currently using. So my question is how exactly can I remove VESA driver and replace it with Intel driver? If you can provide some help on this subject that would be great :) Thanks in advance Regards, |
Do you have hwinfo installed? If yes, run 'hwinfo --gfxcard'. It should identify the on-board graphics, the driver to use, whether or not that driver is active, and the command to activate it.
Then su to root, and run SaX2 to configure the graphics card/chip. |
Yes I do have hwinfo installed, but I dont see an option or command to configure it, I`ll paste the console output later today
