Question Suggestions to run Linux in VM Fusion

Does anyone have suggestions for running a linux server in fusion.
I was considering Ubuntu Server. I have Backtrack installed in Fusion and want a server target for my sandbox testing of pen test tools.

You are going to need to be more specific. What are your needs, what do you want from the vm, how small should the distro be? stuff like that. Anything that can help us give you an educated guess. With the information that you have given us the answer would be linux distro.
