Suggestions for improvement
Isn't it about time that this forum, that pretends to be for the international society of linux users, improves their user-friendlyness? My last visit it says, was on "06-03-13 at 05:58 AM", that might be on June 6, this year, 2 months in the future. Computer users should walk in front, and the ISO standard 8601 is from, I believe, 1988. Why not use that, the least you win is on sorting time. The correct format is "2013-03-06T05:58".
This 'newby' used Linux from almost its beginning, 1993, and used computers since 1959, I guess 90000 hours. Since may be 2000 I have tried to join the forum at least 20 times, but always gave up since it was impossible to find understandable instructions how to use it. Today I used an hour again and I can only hope that this contribution will be received. I know, adding good user-instructions is old-fashion for the present generation. What I need now is the forum's opinion about C++11, and a tip where to get that. And how they feel about LibreOffice, of which the developers try to cover all needs of computerusers in one release. I will appreciate your comments and instructions on how to contact 'officials' like Jeremy. Nieuwenhuizen, J.K. 2013-04-09T14:35 CET |
