sucessfully installed kernel 2611-1-1369 -with raid-how scale/slide the volumes

hi - how do i scale my volumes/hooks ( /local /home /root - more GB ) after a successful installation - are there any good applets for this on kernel 2611 1 1369, i'm running my system on a HP/compaq EVO D510SFF, I have a RocketRaid 174x 4 port SATA controller installed, these machines have been disritbuted in a large scale both to governments and serious business-companies - Do i have to get a newer kernel ? If new kernel, how migrate my current system onto that ? Are there some nice repositories that i can build on this 2611 1 1369 - kernel :-) i would be grateful for any response - have a steady, solid - linux day !

- thx for reply !

uname-a - prints: Linux ACCELERA.SHINTO 2.6.11-1.1369.... and the distro that RHEL have built on this. I am tempted to try to build on this Core as it is "a less common ?" and therefor in my
view safer rock to stand on. The bottleneck is obviously the processor - is slow - but then again
a challenge to keep alive with senseful code :-) Software motherboard optimized for Core i7 and 64GB ram is on my wish-list too !
Is any YUM repositories maintained for kernel 2611-1.1369 ? How setup this ?

any thoughts in issue are appreciated !
