substitute of photoshop


hi,
i want to know what is the substitute of photo shop in linux and how good is it as compare to photoshop.

GIMP

Also, Photoshop will run on Linux using WINE or Crossover (the commercial version of WINE)

I have started to like GIMP better than Photoshop, but some features are missing (eg color management)

If you do not mind taking a little extra time and convert to bitmap use Gimp and Krita together you can get almost everything.

GIMP rocks once you get the hang of it.

If you like Photoshop you will love Gimpshop. It is a hack for GIMP so that the look&feel of menus and overall layout mimicks Photshop.

Gimp cna do practically anything but takes a bit of getting used to.
