this looks hella tricky :S but if its the only way its the only way :S, I know mandrake9.2 already has ALSA but... it doesn't have SPDIF which bits do i need to download off the ALSA site? currently i've downloaded the current CVS snapshot. Do i need to build everything or select bits of that snapshot?

If anyone knows of an idiots guide to doing it that would be great also
