Stupid KDE question

For certain reasons, I would like to have a dark background in KDE.. but I cannot figure out how to change the color of the text present on the kicker panel. I like to use the Run Command: and the KWeather applets, but both display black text on my dark background. I have looked all over the control panel and found no setting for the color of this font.. I googled much, but also to no avail, so now, I am turning to the Linux Specialists :study: I know that it is somewhere.. Please just point me in the right direction. I easily found how to change the color of the fonts on the icons on the desktop, but not on the kicker... thanks for the help

Right click on the panel and select configure panel and look around in there and see if that is what you want.

Unfortunately, I have been through every option there and I do not see the way to change the font color.. thanks though for your thoughts.

To reiterate my request... I want a transparent kicker on a dark background.. How do you change the font color on the kicker for applets like 'application launcher' and Kweather, etc that all seem to use the same black color font? I am using KDE 3.2.1

is it possible the color value is part of gtk, or theme settings that might
be used by the applet or kicker, or part of a font definition in those files?
maybe try changing themes, and editing the theme files, and checking
the how-to files about creating themes...goog luck!
