I have been usng linux for about a month now, changing distros every 2 days but I settled for Slackware. I have this annoying problem but. once I am in X if I try to change virtual terminals (Crt + Alt + F1)
the screen goes black
Thx in advance
When this or a similar thing has happened to me, it was due to using the wrong driver for my video card or the wrong parameters for my display. Unfortunately you have provided little or no info regarding your setup or what you have tried. You may want to google or search this forum as well (if you haven't) because this comes up often with a variety of causes and solutions.
What happen's when you use ctrl-alt-f2,f3,f4,f5,f6? Can you gfet back to x with ctrl-alt-f7?
