stuck with nautilus
this is a chinese guy,I'm sorry for my poor english.
ubuntu:9.10 when I was enjoying music with rethymbox,I deleted its shortcut on Desktop. then I decided to empty the rubbish box.but a dialogue came out: Error while spawning Nautulus:Failed to execute child process "nautilus" (no such file or directory) I can't open my home directory then. when I restarted and logged in as before,it seems I have to do all with terminal.what I know nautilus is only it's the linux "explore.exe" please help me.:) |
actually nautilus in not the only GUI file manager. for instance there's xfce's Thunar: quite good.
what I'm wondering is how did you managed to remove nautilus itself. were you running under root and removed it from /usr/bin? |
what I deleted is the shortcut for rethymbox(not as root).I'm wondering if I can remove nautilus and use other GUI file manager.
