I would like to share media over my network so that I may watch videos or listen to music on my PS3. In windows I just used Windows Media Player 11 or Nero Home, is there a simple (preferably free) application that can do this under Linux? Thanks for your time in advance.
I checked out uShare but ended up settling on MediaTomb (http://mediatomb.cc/) which is also available from AUR, however I had to make a small change to the PKGBUILD file to the correct source code URL (http://downloads.sourceforge.net/mediatomb/mediatomb-$pkgver.tar.gz). After this minor adjustment everything installed beautifully but the configuration file required a small change to get it working with the PS3 (http://www.freesoftwaremagazine.com/...omb_ps3_and_me) and now I am up and running great!
