streamed videos are not getting stored in /tmp

hi everyone ......

I was using a customized version of ubuntu 10.04 earlier
videos which I use to stream were stored in /tmp

A week before I switched to 10.10
Now the problem is that the streamed videos are not getting stored in the /tmp

somebody help me with this ... is there any other place where the videos are getting stored.if so, please tell me .... is there any other way by which I can download the videos

my friend reported the same problem with linux mint

thank you in advance ...

Which browser are you using?

Another clue about Firefox is that it uses the value of the TMPDIR environment variable as the location to store streams.
