[SOLVED] Strange signs with Arena chess software + Babas chess

I have got computer with Umbuntu linux from a friend. Im interesting in chess therefore I downloaded Arena chess Interface. But first of all
I made all that update that my fiend didnt do for 6 month!
I had also installed Babaschess. But suddenly Arena and the chess pieces
look crazy. The same with babaschess but only the letters.
excuse by bad english. Can any solve this?

Did you mark this thread "[SOLVED]" on purpose?
