Strange problem when streaming on my Debian pc

When streaming from sites like BBC Five Live or Al Jazeeras english site using Firefox or Opera (I don't think the browser matters) sometimes it works with no problems, but sometimes I get the following error:

Quote:

Could not find an appropriate hxplay or realplay in the system path to use as an embedded player
I have Realplayer installed and as I said they work sometimes, I don't know what hxplay is. If I reboot the system I will usually then be able to stream from these sites. If rebooting the system can solves the problem it would be better to just restart whatever service it is that has gotten locked up when this happens. Does anyone know what that might be, or how I can find out? Or perhaps if I set the path in my user account (can't remember what the config file for such personalized settings is called) might that solve the problem?

I did whereis realplay:

Quote:

realplay: /usr/bin/realplay /usr/X11R6/bin/realplay /usr/bin/X11/realplay /usr/share/realplay
then- not really beleiving it would work, I tried:

Quote:

/usr/bin/realplay restart
it didn't, maybe it would work if there were an /etc/realplay or something.

sigh. :(
