strange mp3 happenings
 

this (i think) this is real strange. whenever i play an mp3 file with xmms it plays without sound at around 10-20 times faster than it should. i have the latest version of xmms and redhat 7.1. all other sound and sound files seem to work. any ideas?

Either you're playing Alvin and the Chipmunks remixes, or maybe you should call an exorcist... :D

xmms. upper lefthand corner of player. options. preferences. work thru your sound plug-ins in pulldown menu; checking the settings for each.

My bet is that one of these plugins is configged wrong or you have an mpeg plugin set as default.
