strange mouse lag on arch and ubuntu
 

hi,

i have been experiencing a strange mouse lag with X when running archbang or ubuntu live cd and after installing arch... renders the gui unusable...

its a usb mouse and works fine on windows...

as this is a bit of a freaky error i can't find much using search engines :|

EDIT: ok, wow, ps2 mouse works fine... what IS that?

live cd's run in ram so if this system has a low amount of ram ( like 512 meg)
it will be slow

is this the same machine that has the voodoo card?
the usb on it might be usb1

has nothing to do with live cd. pc is fairly modern, lots of ram, usb3 and all.

given that the ps2 mouse works just fine i guess it has something to do with the usb device... but i have no clue whatsoever how to troubleshout that :|
