Question Strange intermintant, Pops, Crackles etc with my sound.

I keep getting strange crackling and pop and thumps with my sound in Mandrake 10.
Everything will be fine then I'll suddenly get a wierd pop, or continious crackle.

Whats causing this? I know it's not a problem with my Audigy2 'cause it works fine in WinXP.

hey,

try muting your microphone and CD, worked for me

didn't work for me... volume for these two items were already at zero

that made me notice that kmix shows nothing under the "input" tab. is that normal?
