if I wrote as root:
chattr -s rc.sysinit
chattr -i rc.sysinit

I suddenlt could edit the file =D

But again problems...

Here is my line 30:
if [ -z "$HOSTNAME" -o "$HOSTNAME" = "(none)" ]; then
HOSTNAME=classon
fi

I restarted and it had no effect.
Then I typed on line 1165 (eof):
action "Johans magic: " hostname classon
but still no effect.

Other printouts i can get:
echo $HOSTNAME =>
dhcppc2

more /etc/ =>
127.0.0.1 localhost
192.168.0.3 classon

more /etc/sysconfig/network =>
NETWORKING=yes
HOSTNAME="classon"
IPX="no"
IPXINTERNALNETNUM="0"
IPXINTERNALNODENUM="0"
IPXAUTOPRIMARY="on"
IPXAUTOFRAME="on"
__________

Nothing works!!! Buhu....
And idea what might be the problem? my idea is that something I dont know of makes me into dhcppc2. I want to be classon!!! Grrr!!

Before my changes writing lsattr rc.sysinit gave me:
s---i-------- rc.sysinit

I have now changed it into:
------------- rc.sysinit

Anyone know what I have done?
