Strange Characters : RedHat 8.0

Just upgraded from a 7.3 beta to 8.0 and now I've got a ton
of wierdness. I shouldn't really say upgraded by the way, it was a clean install.
Anyway, whenever I run man or lokkit all kinds of 's are among the normal text. It's very strange and I haven't been able to fix it.

I thought it was a TERM problem, so I switched from TERM=xterm to vt100. Yet they still show up. Any suggestions ?

I suppose you've set your language to non-English, but the fonts used are still English ones. Get console fonts for your language.
