still no wireless on HP 2133 BCM4312

Hi,
I know this question was asked hundreds of times, but I sy=till can not fix my wireless. On the HP2133 with openSUSE 11.3 I have wired but no wireless connection. The driver is ssb
On Terminal I see
joseph@linux-t2w8:~> /usr/sbin/iwconfig
lo no wireless extensions.

eth0 no wireless extensions.

wlan0 IEEE 802.11bg ESSID:off/any
Mode:Managed Access Point: Not-Associated Tx-Power=0 dBm
Retry long limit:7 RTS thr:off Fragment thr:off
Power Management:off
Can anybody tell me how to correct the problem?
Thanks a million!

Greetingz!
Okay, for starters, notice those lil :o faces? You can avoid that by wrapping the output you cut-and-pasted with
&
tags.

Second, your output looks right for wlan0. So you need to use "NetworkManger" (or Knetwork manager if you're using KDE) to configure your WiFi card to connect to a Wireless access point (which I'm assuming you have a WAP somewhere, and you know the ESSID & whatever passphrase you need to connect, right?).

Third, have you ever successfully used this WiFi card to connect to the WAP in question? The reason I ask is because some WiFi cards do not support certain encryption implementations. This has been a source of many a frustration for me in the past, especially with cheap WiFi cards.

Fourth; I'm sure you've visted the openSUSE WireLess Forum, and saw the three sticky posts at the top of the forum, right?
Welcome (Contains information you need to know on how to correctly post to a wireless forum)
