Step-by-step tutorial for Grub2 Install under GPT ?
 

Hi everybody, I am trying to install Slackware64 14 on a Lenovo ThinkCentre M57p USFF Intel Core 2 DUO - testsetup. The HD was formatted with Gparted for GPT (root, swap, home,bios boot partition ef02). Installation from DVD - no problem. On startup I just got a blinking minus with Lilo installed (first round) and second install without any bootloader (I "almost" expected that). Official boot USB stick didn't jump in - USB boot was activated in bios. I would like Grub2 instead of Lilo, this name reminds me of an actress I dont like. Unfortunately, the docs don't mention Grub with one word - is it a slackers's taboo or a well-guarded secret ? Do you have some hint on how to execute a grub-install /dev/sda during the install or from the terminal ? Is Grub-2.00 included somewhere in the 7.3 GB on the DVD ? I can't find it. Thanks to all !

You haven't stated if it is bios or efi based

cannot stat aufs error
 

Thanks for the reply. It is bios-based. I booted from a supergrub2 disk, but it has no option to install grub. So I started parted magic, downloaded grub-2.00, opened the archive into the boot folder on sda1. I cd into the grub folder, then issued grub install /dev/sda, got : cannot stat aufs error. --force install got the same error.
