startx

hi,

i'm using slackware 11. i usually use the startx command to get into the GUI mode. this works only if i login as root(i.e., it does'nt work for user other than the root). wat do i do to get GUI for the other user i've created?
the error msg that is displayed when i use startx with other users is "cannot start .kstartupconfig. check ur installations"

thanks in advance

You need to provide a bit more detail. What happens when you run startx as a normal user and can you post any error messages.
