Startx


Whats the command to change from kde to fluxx or just to chane the window manager anytime

It reads your .xinitrc file. At its simplist this can contain the single line:

exec windowmanager

where windowmanager is your wm of choice, e.g.:
startkde
startxfce4
gnome-session
fluxbox
blackbox
etc

Here's some examples

Switch to another desktop without closing KDE: For example fluxbox
Ctrl Alt F2
startx `which startfluxbox` -- :2

Exit fluxbox before pressing Ctrl Alt F7 to get back into KDE

Start another instance of KDE: startx -- :2

Start another Xsession without closing present Xsession: gdmflexiserver

Restart the Xserver with the keys: Ctrl Alt Backspace

i know theres another way you do in commnad as root thats really easy lol
